Job Description

We are seeking an MRO Supervisor to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all MRO procurement and inventory management activities to support the organization's maintenance and operational requirements. This role ensures the timely availability of spare parts, tools, maintenance supplies, and consumables necessary to maximize equipment uptime, minimize operational disruptions, and support business objectives.

The MRO Supervisor manages procurement processes, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and team development while maintaining compliance with safety standards, budgetary targets, and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop the MRO Procurement team by establishing performance expectations, monitoring KPIs, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure efficient execution of procurement and inventory management activities.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Oversee daily procurement operations and resolve critical issues such as stock shortages, delivery delays, quality concerns, and supplier performance challenges.
  • Coordinate the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of MRO materials, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure consistent supply and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance through established metrics and lead contract negotiations to support business objectives.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining service levels and quality standards.

Inventory Management

  • Manage MRO inventory to ensure optimal stock levels that support uninterrupted maintenance and operational activities.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies that improve inventory accuracy, reduce waste, optimize inventory turnover, and control costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, lead times, reorder points, and consumption trends for spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure compliance with company policies and inventory accuracy standards.
  • Analyze inventory and procurement data to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Maintenance & Operations Support

  • Partner closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to forecast material requirements and prioritize resource allocation for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the availability of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables required to support equipment reliability and maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to anticipate future material needs and proactively address recurring issues related to part availability and supply chain constraints.
  • Support initiatives focused on maximizing equipment uptime and improving overall operational performance.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in MRO procurement, purchasing, or materials management within a maquiladora environment or high-volume manufacturing operation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong experience managing international suppliers, including familiarity with global logistics, import/export regulations, and customs processes.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and procurement best practices.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
    • Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, reporting, charts, and data analysis)
    • PowerPoint (presentations and executive reporting)
    • Outlook (communication and calendar management)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and Planner.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Ability to analyze procurement and inventory data to support operational decision-making.
